About Us:
Founded in 1977 as a project of the Mayor's Office, the Baltimore
Museum of Industry celebrates the past, present and future innovations
of Maryland industry and its people through dynamic educational
experiences. Each year, more than 150,000 students, teachers qnd families
from Maryland and the surrounding areas enjoy the museum's exhibits and educational
programs and learn about the unique history of Maryland
industries and the people who made them work. Our award-winning museum
teacher-led activities teach students important lessons in industry, history,
technology and the value of a day's work, and our exhibits and artifacts fascinate
both young and old alike. Located on the Inner Harbor, the Museum also boasts
a spectacular view of Baltimore and is an ideal location for corporate events,
weddings, family reunions and other functions.

Reservations required for groups of 10 or more
Tours:
Museum teachers are available upon request to guide visitors through
the museum. Self-guided hands-on activities for families are available on
weekends at no additional cost. Food is allowed on museum grounds and
in certain areas of the museum.
