Deeds, Indentures, and Apprenticeships: 150 Years of Early Law in Baltimore County: 1:30 p.m. Anna Siebring, a Stevenson University student and HSBC intern, will present her interpretation of the historical significance of over 300 legal documents she indexed as part of her internship at the Alms House. Dating from as early as the 1780s and as recent as the 1930s, these documents provide an insight into the legal community of the late-Eighteenth and the Nineteenth centuries in the Baltimore area. |

Great Baltimore Fire Coach Tour 1:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Guest Historian Wayne Schaumburg will give a brief introduction and slide show at the Museum before leading the tour of the downtown area destroyed by the fire. Guests will travel to three locations to grasp the fire's magnitude and how businesses were affected. A short walking tour of no more than a city block long will occur at each of the three stops. See buildings that survived and still bear the scars. Listen to the stories of individual heroism by not only the firemen but of the citizens of Baltimore. Witness how it changed Baltimore from a seaport town to a modern industrial city. |
