About us:

Mount Clare was the 18th century summer home of Charles Carroll Barrister and his wife Margaret Tilghman Carroll. Mount Clare Museum House, once again filled with Carroll furnishings, offers today's visitors to Baltimore's oldest residence a unique look at Maryland's colonial past through the eyes of the Carroll family.

Hours:

Open Tuesday - Saturday all year, 10am - 4pm

Tours

Guided tours are given on the hour. Last tour begins at 3pm.

Rental Facility:

The Mount Clare Stable is available for rent. The century-old Stable is ideal for business meetings, office parties, small receptions, and other intimate functions. It features a meeting room, dining room, large enclosed courtyard, and two kitchens. It is located in Carroll Park at Washington Boulevard and Monroe Streets.

Student Programs:

Mount Clare Museum House offers special programs for school, scout and other youth groups. Programs are designed to supplement the current Maryland and American history curriculum in elementary schools. Programs can be tailored to include tours of Mount Clare, hands-on colonial crafts, and children's games. Lunchroom facilities are available inside or groups can picnic in Carroll Park.
