About Us:

The Top of the World Observation Level offers visitors the opportunity to view America's Greatest City from an unobstructed, 360-degree panoramic view. From the Top one can see a city that rose from ruin to become an eclectic, first class destination that continues to reinvent itself. It is a great place to see and learn about the impact of Baltimore's maritime history, rich heritage and dynamic culture and people, as they contribute to the ever-changing landscape and pulse of Charm City. Looking east to west one can see the neighborhoods that trace their beginnings back hundreds of years and those which supported a free America. Looking north and south, it becomes clear why Baltimore is a financial center and an important international port. As the city changes so does the view, and it continues to inspire those that come to the Top to see the historic milestones, local landmarks and famous "firsts."

Top of the World, a city owned attraction, has welcomed millions of visitors from around the world for over 25 years. Completed in 1977 at a cost of 21.3 million dollars, it was a cornerstone of the Inner Harbor's acclaimed re-development. Designed by the internationally renowned architectural firm of I.M. Pei and Partners, it is the tallest pentagonal building in the world, an architectural feat.
