The Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum is participating in Martin State Airport’s Free Open House for Fleet Week’s weekend on September 10 and 11 from 10am to 4pm.
Visitors can explore Museum exhibits and its airplanes, which will be displayed in the area where fly-over aircraft will be parked for visitors to see. This event includes meet and greets with pilots, military aircraft displays, musical entertainment by Navy bands, food and drinks and other vendors.
As there is no on-airport parking, visitors should follow the variable message signs located along Eastern Blvd and MD-43 for directions to off airport parking. Shuttle busses will be running throughout the day to and from the airport. The entire event including parking, shuttle busses, and access to the ramp to view the aircraft on display, is all free.
Please note that the aircraft ramp is a secure facility and all visitors will be required to go through metal detectors prior to being granted access. For more information and details on schedules, visit www.mdfleetweek.com.
